Chapter 20
I drove for about four more hours when we came into the city of Sparks, Nevada. I saw a hotel and casino and remembered we had never made it to Las Vegas proper. When I found another exit, I got off. It was almost 5:00PM. I figured every girl back there had felt the sudden turn and the sudden change in speed and would be up within a minute or two. I was right. I wasn't even at the bottom of the ramp when Kay slid into the passengers seat and Kimmy, Lori and Erin all poked their heads into the cabin.
"Where are you going?" Kay asked.
"We never made it to Las Vegas proper remember. They have casinos here. We can't gamble, but we can have fun anyways," I said and pointed to a hotel casino coming up on the left side of the road. I turned in to the parking lot of the casino and parked the huge RV. The RV took up four spaces normally. This hotel had thought ahead and put in RV parking spaces. I pulled the RV into a spot and we all went back to pack while Kay called the hotel from the RV and got us a room. I would have loved to see the desk clerk's face when they asked, "When will you be checking in?" and she responded, "In about ten minutes." She got the room, a suite actually. It cost about six hundred dollars a night but we would be in the lap of luxury, something we all needed right about then.
We all got our bags together and headed inside and checked in. A bellboy came over and got our bags and led us via the elevator to our suite up on the fifteenth floor. The place was huge. The first room we entered was a huge living area. It had a sofa, a loveseat, two rocker recliners, a big screen TV/DVD player, a small desk with a chair and a gas burning fireplace with a small kitchen in one corner and a wet bar next to it. The kitchen only had a sink, a refrigerator, an oven and a garbage can with only about five feet of counter space. There were three drawers beneath the counter and two counters above. The table was big enough to seat six.
We had two bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. The master bedroom, had a huge king sized bed with four pillows, a nightstand on either side and a dresser with six drawers and a TV on top. The master bathroom was the biggest bathroom I'd ever seen. It had a double vanity with two sinks in it, a mirror running the entire length of the counter, six drawers beneath the counter, three on either side, a shower stall big enough for two, a huge hot tub big enough for four, a closet sauna and a toilet.
The second bedroom had two double beds with a nightstand between them, a six drawer dresser with a TV and a small table with two chairs.
